Harbour ships across Australia.

Sydney Metro Delivery: Delivery includes installing and placing items in your desired location by the carrier. The carrier will remove all shipping materials and cartons from the home. Delivery fees are based on your postcode’s proximity to our warehouse. Deliveries with more than two flights of stairs (20 steps) may include an extra “stairs” charge. Delivery crews do not move your existing furnishings and/or take away any old furniture pieces in their trucks.

NOTE: Only Sydney Metro deliveries include assembly and removal of packaging.

A quote should be requested, if this is required.

* Many apartment buildings require approval before delivery. If needed, please notify Harbour via your salesperson. If we are not made aware, thus requiring us to reschedule, you may be responsible for additional fees accrued.

Claims: In the case of visible damages to the packaging upon delivery, a client must inspect the product and note any damages on the transport company’s delivery receipt. In the case of non-visible damages, the client needs to report and send pictures of the damages to Harbour Outdoor no later than 48 hours after the receipt of the goods in order for us to process a claim.

Merchandise Pickup/Delivery: Pick up or delivery of product must be concluded within twenty (20) business days of the notice to you that the merchandise is available. Storage fees (accrued daily) will be applied to the final invoice if pick up or delivery does not occur within that period. A storage fee of $15 per cubic size of order (GST inclusive) per week (or prorated for any part of a week) will be charged to the customer until the goods are collected or delivered. Storage fees will accrue weekly until collection or delivery is completed. Any order that exceeds a 60 business day storage period may be forfeited without compensation, at the discretion of Harbour Outdoor.  Such forfeiture does not excuse you from your obligation to pay storage fees nor excuse the payment of any remaining balance on your account.

Furniture Delivery: Harbour Outdoor facilitate a third-party delivery service that is completely unaffiliated with Harbour Outdoor. Harbour Outdoor will act only as a facilitator between the purchaser and the delivery service but has no liability with respect to the delivery service provider. Delivery charges will not be refunded for returned merchandise. You are solely responsible for all transportation costs. If you require a return pick up, delivery fees will apply. Refused deliveries are also subject to return freight. You may be required to sign a proof of delivery. It is your sole responsibility to inspect all goods prior to accepting delivery.

Should any merchandise be damaged and such damage is visible with a reasonable visual inspection, it must be noted on the proof of delivery document. Once proof of delivery document has been signed stating the merchandise is in good condition; no repairs, replacements, exchanges or returns for visible damage will be accepted if you find a fault thereafter.

Returns: Harbour Outdoor wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. Subject to compliance with the return authorisation procedures set forth below, Harbour Outdoor will allow the return of merchandise within seven (7) days of delivery. This right to return product is non-transferable and is limited to those who purchased the merchandise directly from Harbour Outdoor. Proof of purchase and original ownership is required for any returns. Returned merchandise must be in new, undamaged, unused, unworn and unwashed condition with original packaging material and original tags attached.

All refunds or exchanges for any reason (other than damaged products) are subject to a 25% restocking fee, plus the cost of return freight, which may be deducted from the refund.

Change of Mind: Please choose carefully as we do not refund or exchange if you change your mind or make a wrong selection. Once your order is confirmed, meaning you have either paid in full or made your first lay-by instalment, the order can no longer be cancelled.

We recommend you carefully preview any orders before proceeding with your order.

If you cancel your order you agree to the following:

(a) In the case of a stocked item product, which is a product that has not been customised, you will be refunded in full for the value of the product less a 25% restocking fee to cover administrative costs and expenses incurred in handling and cancelling the order.

(b) In the case of a customised product which is any item that has been tailored specifically for you as a Customer, you will be refunded in full for the value of the product less 30%.

(c) You will have no further claim to the cancelled product

CHARACTERISTICS OF TEAK

Natural Teak – Our Natural finish highlights the beauty and grain of solid teak. Due to natural variations in the wood, each product and finish may vary slightly. When exposed to sun and rain, the colour of Natural teak will soften to a silvery-grey patina depending on the amount of sun exposure. Newly purchased Natural teak will experience oil surfacing. These areas, which look like a watermark, can be removed by gentle washing. Fabric cushions stained by the natural surfacing of teak oil can be cleaned with a mild soap and a soft brush.

Charcoal Teak – Our charcoal teak is created using a wire brush with a pigment-based finish. Imperfections such as hairline cracks may develop over time. If left uncovered, the finish will fade and wear through, exposing unfinished teak to the elements. Exposed teak will begin to acquire the beautiful silvery-grey patina that is typical of untreated teak. We recommend that these pieces be protected from inclement weather by our furniture protective covers.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Use a dry, clean cloth to dust furniture weekly and maintain lustre.

For spot cleaning, spray off any debris with a hose and brush off any dirt or debris with a soft-bristle brush. Spores that create mould and mildew thrive in environments with dirt and moisture. Dry with a soft cloth. To remove stains on finished teak, we recommend gentle sanding in the soiled area with a fine grit sandpaper.

For a more thorough cleaning, mix warm water with a mild dish soap and clean with a soft-bristle brush. Do not use abrasive cleansers. Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth. Furniture should be thoroughly cleaned periodically and always before storing.

If furniture is in a saltwater environment, rinse weekly to remove all salt.

If furniture is in a freezing environment, thoroughly clean and dry, then store in a dry place such as a garage or shed. Rain and snow will seep into small cracks and fill the wood with moisture and lead to additional small cracks. If storage is not available, furniture should be covered with our outdoor furniture protective covers.

Avoid letting water stand on the surface of your furniture and cushions.

When furniture is not in use for an extended period of time, protect it with our outdoor protective covers. Before covering, furniture needs to be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Cushions should be removed and stored in a dry place if possible.

OUTDOOR FURNITURE HARDWARE CARE

Aluminium furniture should be cleaned periodically using mild soap and lukewarm water. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

If you live in seaside climates or have a saltwater pool, regular (weekly) cleaning with will greatly help remove the concentrated salt deposits that can lead to finish failure.

Outdoor furniture protective covers are recommended if you plan to leave your aluminium furniture outdoors all year. Before placing covers on your furniture, clean any debris with mild soap and water then dry completely with a soft cloth. Trapped debris or moisture can cause surfaces to mould. If you choose to move your furniture indoors, make sure it’s clean and dry and stored in a moisture free environment.

HOW TO CLEAN OUTDOOR CUSHIONS

Our cushions are crafted to provide years of comfort and performance in a variety of climates and conditions. However, after extended or heavy rain, some water may penetrate your cushions’ foam core. If this occurs, stand them on end with the open zipper or seam side down to help drain the water and speed the drying process. Be sure the cushion’s core has completely dried before using.

To clean spills or stains on our solution-dyed fabrics, dilute one cup of chlorine bleach in one gallon of water and test in an inconspicuous area. Saturate a rag or brush in the bleach solution and scrub the entire cushion then rinse well with water and allow to air dry.

HOW TO CARE FOR ETCHED GLASS

Blotchiness – the most common need for care and maintenance
Oil from hands is one of the most common causes of Sandblasted glass losing it’s original crisp look and looking blotchy. Following the below simple cleaning instructions will cure most problems that you will encounter.

Simple Cleaning Instructions:
1. Clean the sandblasted side of the glass with a good quality, non-streaking window cleaner. Spray the glass lightly and then wipe with a clean towel. Lint free terry towels are preferred. Paper towels can be used but many leave fine particles that can be felt if you run your hand over the glass. When the glass is dry, this “paper lint” can usually be lightly wiped off. Never use anything abrasive. Concentrate your cleaning more in the areas that are blotchy. IMPORTANT – Continue lightly drying the glass in circular motions until the moisture disappears. This prevents water lines or water spots. Hard repeated rubbing can start polishing areas of the glass and complicate the problem.

HOW TO CARE FOR OUTDOOR FABRIC

One of the best ways to keep outdoor fabrics looking good is to brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics and wipe up spills or clean soon after a stain occurs. The quicker you clean spills and stains, the easier they can be to remove.

Try this first… With a new spill or stain on your fabric.
• Blot (don’t rub) liquid spills with a clean, dry cloth. For oil-based spills, apply an absorbent such as corn starch, then remove with a straight edge.
• Spray on a mild cleaning solution of soap and water.
• Rinse the fabric thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
• Air dry.

HOW TO CARE FOR OUTDOOR UPHOLSTERY

CLEANING REMOVABLE FABRIC

Hand Washing
Soak fabric in a solution of ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of lukewarm water. Use a sponge or very soft bristle brush to lightly agitate the stain. Then rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue, and allow fabric to air dry.

Machine Washing
Some removable casings can be washed in the washing machine, however consult the furniture manufacturer before removing the casing as cushion construction may vary. To wash, first close all zippers. Machine wash in cold water on the delicate cycle with normal amounts of mild laundry detergent. For severe mould or mildew, add 1 cup of bleach. Allow fabric to air dry.

CLEANING NON-REMOVABLE FABRIC

Prepare a solution of ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of lukewarm water. Use a soft bristle brush to clean, allowing the cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow fabric to air dry.

MOULD AND MILDEW STAINS

Outdoor fabrics do not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric. To remove mould or mildew:
• Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of water.
• Spray on entire area and allow to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes.
• Clean entire surface area with a sponge, clean towel or very soft bristle brush.
• Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
• Air dry.
For severe mould/mildew growth, bleach quantities may be increased.
It is best to clean the entire surface area of the fabric to avoid water rings and stains.
